Brain Injury....

I don't know how I got thinking about this topic last night as I was trying to sleep, but I was.

I have spent some time working with Brain Injured Adults. Usually when I tell people this, they say things like "wow! That must be tough". Really though it isn't - at least now with the people I work with. Some of them have what is called an acquired Brain Injury. That is they suffered a stroke or a lack of oxygen to the brain for some reason. Other have traumatic Brain Injury. They were in an accident of some sort - many of them were just minding their own business when they were hit by a drunk driver who has changed their lives forever.
